The goal of a District 65 education is to prepare students for continued success at the high school level and beyond. Students should participate in educational experiences that foster a sense of community and responsible citizenship. The journey should begin in a high-quality, Early Childhood Education classroom. Optimal learning offers an environment that that is affirming and safe for all students. District 65 should empower teacher-led decision-making in the classroom and utilize materials that are research-based. Curricular materials should also be representative of the diverse student body. This applies to all students: those who do and do not receive special services.
